Vertical Group gains apprenticeship awards

Travel technology supplier Vertical Group has won three awards for supporting apprenticeships.
The company won Employer of the Year, Level 3 Customer Service Apprentice of the Year and a new award for outstanding contribution to the apprenticeships scheme.
The awards came at the ITEC Learning Technologies awards evening, held in celebration of ITEC’s 25th Anniversary.
ITEC is a leading IT training provider and is part of the NOVA organisation providing students with NVQ qualifications.
TARSC system supplier Vertical Group has supported ITEC’s apprenticeships scheme for 22 years and has assisted more than 30 apprentices complete their NVQs.
Nicola Dilworth, customer services manager for the Vertical group and its first ITEC apprentice, said: “Apprenticeships are an excellent way to gain working experience within an office environment as well as gaining a recognised qualification.
“Once apprentices have completed their course we always endeavour to offer them full time employment within the Vertical Group, and continue to support them in obtaining further qualifications”.
Amanda Rawlings, youth programmes manager at ITEC, said: “They continue to take and support our young people in all aspects of their business and are a great example of how these programmes can help a business to succeed.”
In addition to the awards, ITEC has invited Dilworth to join the ITEC board.
