Vietnam Airlines establishes new Burma link
Vietnam Airlines launched a second direct route to Yangon this week.
The national flag carrier will fly between Ho Chi Minh City and Myanmar’s southern trade hub three times a week.
In March, VNA began flying from Hanoi to Yangon four times a week and there are plans to increase that to five soon, according to a statement from the airline.
State-owned Vietnam Airlines – a member of the SkyTeam airline alliance that includes Air France and America’s Delta Airlines – aims to fly 12 million passengers this year and boost its fleet from 70 to 115 aircraft by 2015.
