Vietnam tourism recovery expected by 2025

Vietnam tourism levels will finally fully recover by 2025, officials say.

The tourism sector is expected to return to pre-pandemic levels in two years.

It has struggled to recover since reopening due in part to lack of airlift and strict visa policies.

Vietnam tourism accounted for 9.2% GDP in 2019, with 18 million international arrivals, according to the Ministry of Tourism.

It has hopes to attract 35 million international visitors by 2030, with annual double digit growth in numbers.

It plans to focus more on attracting emerging markets like India and the Middle East.
