Virgin improves agent access to cruise and stay

Friday, 21 Feb, 2006 0

Virgin Holidays’ Florida and the Caribbean cruise and stay holidays have been made bookable via viewdata and online.

The operator has produced a trade only mini brochure covering Carnival cruises linked to Florida breaks.

General manager sales Kieran Farragher said he hoped the 12-page brochure would make booking a cruise and stay holiday easier for agents.

He added: “Previously cruise and stay holidays were not bookable on our viewdata system, but we have now updated the system so agents can make bookings not only on viewdata but also on our new bookable trade website Vhols4agents.co.uk. The brochure is aimed specifically at travel agents, encouraging customers to cruise into their favourite travel agency to book.”

Options involve combining a stay in Orlando or Miami with a selection of five  Caribbean cruises on Carnival ships including Carnival Glory or Carnival Triumph.

Prices start at ÂŁ839 for 10-nights including three nights in Miami at Riu Florida Beach and a seven-night cruise.
