Virgin Voyages open for business in Australia
Virgin Voyages has tapped Travel the World to manage its rollout to the Australian travel trade.
Travel the World will oversee training and registering of travel advisors in the coming months ahead of an official Australia launch by the end of the year.
Virgin Voyages’ president and CEO Tom McAlpin announced the details at the Cruise360 Australasia trade event.
Virgin has launched trade relations with ‘First Mates’ in the US, Canada and the UK, and plans to add New Zealand shortly after launching in Australia.
"Travel the World are an experienced partner with a proven track record of assisting cruise lines establish travel industry partnerships, so we are happy to be working together to introduce Virgin Voyages," McAlpin said.
Virgin Voyages offers travel partners a 10% commission which includes the entire transaction value without any exclusions.
Additionally, first mates can earn a Red Hot Bonus paid annually based on sales targets.
Virgin Voyages and Travel The World plan to hit the road from October with a series of training road shows in Melbourne, Sydney, Gold Coast and Brisbane.
Virgin Voyages’ first ship launches in Miami next year and it has a further three on order.
