Virgin Voyages to offer tattoos at sea
Cruisers looking for a permanent reminder of their vacation at sea can do so in the best seafaring tradition aboard Virgin Voyages.
The cruise line will offer tattoos after inking a partnership with World Famous Ink Studio.
Virgin ship Scarlet Lady will house the Squid Ink studio, manned by two resident tattoo artists and will be joined by guest ink artists.
These include Spike TV’s Ink Master star Sarah Miller, surrealist artist Arlo DiCristina, and illustrative specialist Jime Litwalk.
"Tattooing is a time-honored seafaring tradition, and we’re continuing that legacy with rock and roll style by bringing some of the best ink artists to sea," said Tom McAlpin, president and CEO for Virgin Voyages.
McAlpin calls it ‘the best souvenir you’ ll never lose track of. ‘
All tattoos will be produced from vegan ink and will include exclusive voyage designs.
Squid Ink will also do body piercing, while crew members will be encouraged to get a tattoo.
