The first virtual ITB Asia event has unveiled its theme and keynote speakers.
Entitled ‘Reinventing Travel in the New Normal’ the event runs from 21 to 23 October.
It is being hosted on ITB Community, with more than 400 buyers signed up.
Keynote speakers this year include Angel Llull Mancas, APAC Vice President and Managing Director, Booking.com, Deep Kalra, Group CEO of MakeMyTrip and Axel Hefer, CEO of Trivago.
There will be 120 sessions which focus on six main themes, including tours and activities, hotel revenue and distribution, destination marketing, corporate travel, Mice Show Asia and Travel Tech Asia.
"We are proud to announce the theme of this year’s virtual event, which will provide the foundation for the travel industry as it moves towards recovery. We truly believe that ITB Asia will play a fundamental role in shaping the future of travel in the new normal," said Katrina Leung, managing director of organiser Messe Berlin (Singapore).
Main sessions will showcase trends the industry needs to adopt to navigate the Covid-19 crisis and ways to address the challenges ahead with best practices, business innovations, and industry know-how.
