Baltimore is known around the world as being the home of the Orioles, Edgar Allen Poe and great crab cakes. But it’s also the home of the 100 most influential African Americans in history (in wax), the docks where Frederick Douglass worked as a young man and the battleground that inspired Francis Scott Key to write ‘The Star Spangled Banner.’
Visit Baltimore and its tourism partners are now offering a wide array of passes to these and other historic itineraries that can save visitors up to 20 percent off regular admission ticket prices.
The Legends and Legacies Experience Pass includes admission to three museums over three consecutive days: The National Great Blacks in Wax Museum, The Reginald F. Lewis Museum of Maryland African American History & Culture and The Frederick Douglass-Isaac Myers Maritime Park. These museums celebrate Baltimore’s rich African American history.
Commemorating the 200th anniversary of the War of 1812 and the writing of the ‘The Star Spangled Banner,’ Visit Baltimore is also offering ‘War of 1812’ ticketing options including the Star Spangled Baltimore Pass featuring admission to Fort McHenry National Monument and Historic Shrine (the battleground that inspired the ‘Star Spangled Banner’), the Maryland Historic Society and the Star Spangled Banner Flaghouse. Other passes include a National Anthem Tour by Land and Sea and a Schooners and Privateers pass.
The Legends and Legacies Experience Pass is priced at $19.95 for adults, $14.95 for kids and $16.75 for seniors and is available now at the Baltimore Visitor Center on the Inner Harbor’s West Shore Promenade, by telephone at 888-262-4511 or by visiting http://baltimore.org/heritage/site.
The Star Spangled Baltimore pass is offered at $18.12 or less. More information on the War of 1812 and Star Spangled Banner itineraries can be found at StarSpangledBaltimore.com/pass or call 410-268-7601 or 877-Baltimore.
