MACAU – In a move that caught many by surprise – including passengers – Viva Macau at the last minute postponed today’s inaugural flight into Sydney.
The airline blamed unexpected delays in regulatory approval.
A new date for the three-times-a-week service has yet to be announced.

“However, we expect only a small number of flights will be affected until we have received the final approval,” he added.
Passengers affected by the postponement have been offered either a full refund on the total amount of air ticket(s) purchased, or Viva Macau will arrange another flight with another airline via Hong Kong. or on a replacement aircraft on a similar schedule, or they can re-book on a future Viva Macau flight.
Viva Macau is also offering each affected passenger a free return ticket to any of Viva Macau’s scheduled destinations, redeemable within 12 months.
