Wightlink Ferries adds extra sailings
Wightlink Ferries has added car ferry sailings to its timetable next week to cope with an influx of passengers.
It said further timetable adjustments are also being considered for the weeks following.
On Wednesday 10 August and Thursday 11 August, three extra sailings in each direction will be added between Portsmouth and Fishbourne.
Head of marketing Mark Persad said: "The additional sailings mean that they are operating every 30 minutes throughout the day on most days next week, which is a fantastic opportunity."
Between 1 and 31 August, drivers with up to six passengers can benefit from 25% savings on car ferry crossings from Lymington or Portsmouth.
The offer is applicable when booking a day trip or one night stay on the Isle of Wight and when the outbound crossing is before 9.30am or after 12.00pm. Return crossings can be taken at any time.
