Winnemucca, Nevada unveils inaugural Main Street Murals and Music Festival
A new festival is coming to Nevada.
The secluded Northwestern Nevada city of Winnemucca launches its first ever cultural festival.
Taking place 29 May – 1 June 2025, this new event aims to bring a dynamic blend of large-scale mural art and live music to the heart of Winnemucca.
It hopes to leave a lasting artistic legacy for the community.
Winnemecca Main Street Murals & Music Festival will welcome regional and local artists as well as renowned international muralists to transform walls across the “Friendliest Town” in the Silver State.
Visitors will enjoy the warm hospitality that have earned its title, in addition to hearty Basque cuisine, cowboy culture and access to the wild outdoors.
Taking place across four days, the Murals and Music Festival aims to celebrate the town’s culture and heritage.
Artists taking part in the event include Heesco (Australia), Leire Urbeltz (Spain), Prism AG (Mexico), and Simo Vibart (Argentina).
National artists include Michael & Daniela Kirby (Maryland), Eric Bussart (Pennsylvania), Koko & Nuri (Tehachapi, CA), and Bill Louis (Utah).
Regional and local artists include Erik Burke, Bryce Chisholm, J. Charboneau, Joe C. Rock, Edwin “Esco” Martinez, Autumn Harry, Charly Malpass, Arthur Richmond, Hayley Meadows, Gina Holmberg, Dusty Ham, Teddy Swecker, Kathleen Norcutt, and VAKA.
In addition to vibrant murals, the festival will showcase a stellar live music lineup, headlined by Paige and the Overtones, and Greg Gilmore and the Fever Dreams.
The festival is free to attend, family-friendly, and invites residents and visitors alike to enjoy live mural painting, concerts, local cuisine, and cultural entertainment.
The festival aims to enhance Winnemucca’s cultural identity, boost tourism, and creating a lasting impact through displays of public art.
