Wizz Air boss slammed over worker fatigue
Wizz Air’s CEO is facing heat from pilot unions after Jozsef Varadi said staff should work through fatigue. The comments showed a ‘deficient safety culture,’ unions said .
The airline said Varadi was referring to all workers and not only pilots.
The European Cockpit Association says Varadi is encouraging pilots to fly when fatigued, which is potentially dangerous and regulators should act.
“It’s like handing the car keys to a drunk driver,” the union said.
