Wizz Air joins European Commission’s zero-emissions imitative
Wizz Air has joined Alliance for Zero-Emission Aviation, a European Commission initiative for next-gen sustainable aircraft.
Wizz Air joins AZEA alongside public and private stakeholders, to decarbonise through hydrogen and electric aircraft.
AZEA members will work to identify barriers to advancing zero-emission aircraft.
Wizz Air will share information on challenges and solutions for achieving zero emissions from an ultra-low-cost carrier perspective.
Joining AZEA demonstrates Wizz Air’s commitment to reduce carbon emissions, it says.
Johan Eidhagen, Chief People and ESG Officer of Wizz Air, said: “We look forward to working with members on the ongoing development for hydrogen aircraft.”
