Wizz Air restarts green list flights
Wizz Air will restart flights to the five green list destinations in its network next week.
From 17 May onwards, flights to Faro, Lisbon, Tel-Aviv, Reykjavik and Gibraltar will commence after Portugal, Israel, Iceland and Gibraltar made the green list.
"We welcome the announcement from the UK government on the green list countries for the restart of international travel. At WIZZ, we are prepared to ramp up operations quickly when restrictions ease," Owain Jones, Managing Director of Wizz Air UK.
Although they avoid quarantine on their return, holidaymakers are still required to take a pre-departure PCR test before their arrival back into the UK.
Wizz Air is offering passengers a discount on Covid-19 tests and certificates through its partnership with Randox Health.
Wizz Air’s new travel insurance now covers Covid-19 related cancellations and medical related expenses whilst travelling abroad.
Wizz Air will have a total of 80 destinations on offer from 11 UK airports.
Passengers can also utilise the airline’s interactive travel planning map, to check operating routes and relevant travel rules in their destination country.
The colour-coded map is updated daily and takes users to a country-specific travel information page.
