Wow to launch budget flights to US west coast
Budget carrier Wow Air is planning to launch cheap flights to Los Angeles and San Francisco next summer from its base in Iceland.
It will offer four fights a week to LA and five a week to San Francisco using a 340-seat A330.
All services will operate from Reykjavik, from where the airline already flights to Baltimore/Washington and Boston.
It is planning to launch services to Montreal and Toronto next May.
Airline founder and chief executive, Skuli Mogernsen, said: "We are thrilled to add Los Angeles and San Francisco to our fast-growing network.
"This is a game-changer for Wow Air as we cement ourselves as the industry leader in the ultra-low-cost long-haul category."
