Yahoo exec lined up to speak at Dublin tech conference
Digital content will be one of the issues under the spotlight at the technology conference, ENTER 2014, taking place in January in Dublin.
The event, on January 21-24, is organised by the International Federation for Information Technology and Travel and Tourism (IFITT).
Delegates will attend from academia, industry, government, and other organisations to focus on the application of information and communication technologies to travel and tourism.
A session ‘New Approaches to Digital Content’ will take place on January 22, moderated by Nick Hall, founder of the Digital Tourism Think Tank.
Think Tank is an initiative founded in partnership with Yahoo! and aims at providing thought leadership to the tourism industry in digital marketing best practice.
Speakers include Yahoo! head of direct sales Anna Skrzypek, CEO of the online community for sharing travel, food and design Everplaces Tine Thygesen, and Gary Bembridge, an independent marketing and branding consultant.
"Content is coming from different sources, including user-generated content," said IFITT president Professor Dimitrios Buhalis.
"Tourism organisations need to harness this content and find ways to influence online conversations in order to manage their brand and online reputation.
"In this session our delegates can find out about and get inspired by the latest cutting-edge approaches to digital contents in tourism marketing."
Delegates who register before November 8, 2013, receive a discount.
