Young British cricketer shot dead on holiday in Caribbean
A young Briton has been shot dead while on holiday in Trindad.
Adrian St John, aged 22, a recruitment consultant and aspiring professional cricketer, is believed to have been killed during a robbery.
Early reports suggested the attack happened after the Londoner stopped his car to pick up a female passenger, he was then ordered to drive off but one of his assailants shot him in the head as he drove away.
West Indies cricketer Chris Gayle, who runs a cricket academy which was captained by St John, tweeted: "Such sad news to hear: my condolences to his family & friends."

A Foreign Office spokeswoman said: "We are in contact with authorities following the death of a British national in Trinidad and are ready to provide consular assistance."
