ANA and JNTO launch joint campaign, offering free domestic flights on ANA’s extensive network for UK and European Visitors to Japan - News & announcements
All Nippon Airways (ANA) is making it easier and more affordable for travellers to explore Japan by offering its UK and European passengers free domestic flights across its extensive regional network. This more affordable fare will be available from 24 November 2025 to 31 January 2026 as part of a joint campaign between ANA, Japan’s largest five-star airline, and the Japan National Tourism Organization (JNTO). The incentive aims to move visitors beyond the classic “hero gateway” cities, inspiring them to explore the rich, lesser-known regions, and see more of Japan at its most authentic.
At the heart of this initiative is the Stopover & Add-on Free Fare. This enables customers and trade partners to build bespoke, multi-stop itineraries, without charging extra for Economy Class stopovers. The addition of the Stopover benefit on top of ANA's existing Add-on Free Fare offer means that Economy Class passengers can now filter seamlessly between the bustling metropolises of Tokyo or Kyoto and more off-the-radar destinations — whether that’s the rugged landscapes of Tohoku, the onsen towns of Kyushu, or the tropical islands of Okinawa — at no additional fare.
While the spotlight has long shone on icon cities like Tokyo, Osaka, and Kyoto, the new free domestic flights offer underlines ANA and JNTO’sambition to drive more balanced tourist flows across Japan’s prefectures. By offering free access to its 40+ hubs – Japan’s largest domestic network – ANA aims to make regional exploration of this fascinating country easier and genuinely affordable.
The campaign comes at a timely moment. Japan is experiencing record-breaking inbound tourism: in 2024, it welcomed 36.87 million international visitors (

By driving travellers into lesser-visited destinations, ANA intends for the campaign to help address over-tourism in Japan’s popular hotspots and connect its customers with more authentic tourism experiences.
All Economy fare bookings made between 24 November 2025 and 31 January 2026 are eligible, and up to two ANA domestic flights within Japan will be free of charge. This campaign provides a limited-time opportunity to explore Japan’s regional destinations more extensively. After 31 January 2026, ANA will review the fare rules based on market conditions, customer needs, and examining the impact that this responsible tourism campaign brings to Japan's lesser-served regions. Terms and conditions apply*.
Customers and trade partners are encouraged to access full fare rules, conditions, and route options via ANA’s trade guidance — with particular attention to how this offer can help create more sustainable, immersive Japan itineraries for clients.
