Brand launches Tunisia and Saudi Arabia along with new European tours

With a legacy dating back over 260 years, Cox & Kings has unveiled its latest Worldwide Brochure. Rich in culture, history and exploration, the diverse portfolio features three new tours and four new tailormade suggested itineraries in new destinations, with departures running through to the end of 2026.

Italy remains a firm favourite, inspiring Cox & Kings to create two new specialist-led tours. Piedmont, with food writer and chef Valentina Harris, and Sicily: Normans in the South, offer immersive culinary, historical, and artistic experiences, providing unique insights into these captivating regions. The new Portuguese Pousadas tour includes accommodation in treasured heritage buildings and combines UNESCO-listed sites with wine tasting and a boat ride along the Douro River.

As part of its tailor-made service, Cox & Kings has expanded its offerings to new destinations including Tunisia, Saudi Arabia, Scandinavia, Iceland and the Faroe Islands. These tailor-made trips are designed to suit individual interests and needs whilst providing unique experiences from the Tozeur Oasis in the Tunisian Sahara to the picturesque Flåmsbana Railway in Norway.

“The latest additions to our brochure represent the quintessential Cox & Kings experience – small-group tours designed to immerse travellers in local cultures through genuine interactions and off-the-beaten-track exploration,” said Jennifer Charlton, SVP Trade Sales & Business Development at Cox & Kings. “Our expertise has allowed us to craft itineraries that reveal the true spirit of each destination.”

Renowned for its expertise in Latin America and the Indian Subcontinent, Cox & Kings’ tours throughout these vast destinations remain key highlights with the Train to Machu Picchu, Natural Splendours of Costa Rica and Golden Triangle and Shimla tours all mainstay best sellers. Championing travel to locations less visited, the Across the Southern Caucasus and Uzbekistan: Heart of Central Asia tours continue to be hugely popular.

Up on last year, solo travellers now make up more than a quarter of Cox & Kings’ group tour clients in both the small group tours and the four dedicated ‘Solo Travellers’ tours which are free of single supplements: Treasures of Peru, Panama & Costa Rica Experience, Exotic India and Splendours of Sri Lanka. Solo travel is projected to continue to grow in popularity in 2025, driven by a desire for personal growth and self-discovery with more and more people of all ages and backgrounds experiencing the rewards of a solo adventure. Cox & Kings has years of experience arranging journeys for those travelling solo, offering safety and good company with like-minded guests. Through its tailormade offering, individuals can also book a private solo holiday, benefitting from more privacy and flexibility on a bespoke itinerary.

The new small group tours launching are:

NEW: Portuguese Pousadas | 8-day small-group tour from £2,095pp

Discover the old-fashioned charm of Portugal on this eight-day journey from Lisbon to Porto. Staying at two of the country’s famed Pousada properties, one of which was once a Moorish castle, explore historic regional centres including Coimbra and Porto; and the picturesque, terraced hillsides of the Douro valley, where port – the world-renowned fortified wine – is produced. Signature experiences include a boat ride on the Douro River and a visit to a bakery to learn how to make pastel de nata tarts.

NEW: Sicily: Normans in the South | 6-day small-group tour from £2,695pp

Sicily has been a crossroads of civilisations since ancient times, and no period saw such a rich cultural exchange as the first centuries of Norman rule. Situating you in the heart of Palermo – capital for both Norman kings and Islamic emirs – this tour reveals the island’s unique history, including the Romanesque architecture of the Normans, the legacy of Byzantine artisans, and the enduring Arabic influence on Sicilian cuisine. Highlights include a street-food tasting in Palermo and a visit to Cefala Diana to see the only surviving Arabic hammam in Italy.

NEW: Piedmont with Valentina Harris | 5-day small-group tour from £2,595pp

Delve into the gastronomy of Piedmont alongside food writer and chef, Valentina Harris. Based in Turin throughout, your tour will reveal the delicacies and prized ingredients of this corner of northern Italy, known for its truffles, wine, vermouth, grappa, chocolate, and cheese. Let Valentina guide you through charming streets and vibrant markets, where each taste tells a story of tradition and innovation, join a truffle hunt demonstration in the Langhe region and take part in a private vermouth making class at the Martini offices.
