easyJet is set to fly into its busiest ever half-term getaway as customers jet off on 15,800 flights across Europe throughout the week-long school break.
Nearly half a million holidaymakers will be taking to the skies on over 3,000 easyJet flights alone during this weekend.
The airline is set to operate up to 9,000 flights to and from the UK during half-term as many families make the most of the break to catch some much-needed winter sun or hit the ski slopes.
Geneva is proving to be the most popular destination across the network this half-term, providing easy access to the Alps for snow sports lovers and the airline is offering even more choice from popular ski airports also including Innsbruck, Grenoble, Salzburg, Lyon, Turin and Zurich.
Meanwhile for sun-seekers, the Red Sea resorts of Sharm-el-Shiekh and Hurghada offer year-round sunshine and recently topped easyJet’s new holiday hotlist which charts the best winter sun destinations and with crystal-clear waters, bright coral reefs, and off-season temperatures it’s sure to tempt customers this half term.
Tenerife and neighbouring Canary Island, Lanzarote, are also proving to be among the top destinations, with ever-popular Spanish beach destinations Alicante and Malaga continuing to attract winter sun holidaymakers.
