Fred. Holidays is offering intrepid travellers the opportunity to discover Thailand’s cultural heritage and landscapes on an 10-night adventure combining a six-night cruise along the tranquil River Kwai with three nights in bustling Bangkok.

The adventure starts with two nights in Bangkok where travellers can delve into the city’s spirituality with guided tours of renowned temples and the Grand Palace, one of the most beautiful examples of a traditional Siamese court.

Then, it’s time to embark on the cruise along the Kwai Noi River during which guests will explore historical sites, serene villages and natural wonders; engage in cultural rituals; and marvel at breathtaking landscapes. They will also uncover the secrets of Kaeng Lava Cave, Hellfire Pass and Ban Kao village and visit iconic sites such as the Thailand-Burma Railway Centre Museum which offers a poignant insight into wartime history. The cruise, which takes place onboard the 20-guest RV River Kwai, is round trip from Bangkok with calls in Ban Kao, Sai Yok, Ban Hin Dad and Sai Yok.

Upon arrival back in Bangkok, travellers transfer to a hotel for an overnight before flying back to the UK.
