The new portal at https://www.agentfred.co.uk/ can host far more content than the previous one, including marketing assets such as window posters and social media, and shareable video content, training webinars and more. Also included on the portal is information about Fred. Holidays’ GSA partners and preferred partners - Amadeus River Cruises, Pandaw River Cruises, American Cruise Lines and Collette Tours – as well as contact information, agent incentives and competitions. To mark the launch, and to recognise the support trade partners, Fred. Holidays is introducing its biggest trade incentive with up to £1,000 per booking. Fred. Holidays has been selected as General Sales Agent (GSA) for expedition cruise line Lindblad Expeditions. With almost 60 years of cruising experience, Lindblad Expeditions has a diverse fleet of 19 owned and leased expedition ships ranging in size from 16 to 148 guests. They sail more than 100 unique itineraries with over 600 departures annually. As UK GSA, Fred. Holidays will work with Lindblad Expeditions on a targeted sales, marketing and public relations campaign aimed at increasing brand exposure and awareness. Fred. Holidays' Business Development team has been racking up the miles on its biggest programme of travel agent visits to date. It was part of Fred. Holidays' launch of its Expertly Crafted 2024/2025 brochure. The team were on the road delivering brochures and branded cupcakes to over 100 different travel agencies. In addition, the team hosted a number of consumer events as well as in-store training events that were organised via TIPTO, Cruise Challenge and CLIA. Fred. Holidays has hired Joseph Grimley as new Business Development Manager. Following the recent appointment of Paul Mellon, Fred. Holidays’ Business Development Manager team has doubled from two to four in the space of a couple of weeks. Grimley has spent the last couple of years away from the travel industry. His last industry role was with Scenic Group where he was Director of Sales, leading the trade sales function with a focus on strategy, marketing, commercials and sales. Prior to that, he held various sales roles with Riviera Travel, Page & Moy Travel Group. In his new role, which begins on 12 February 2024, Grimley's key focus will be on supporting the company's strategic growth and GSA partners including Amadeus River Cruises. He will also work closely with the Business Development Team to optimise new business opportunities through active accounts, expand distribution reach and increase brand awareness. He reports to Laura Wilson, Fred. Holidays' Head of Business Development. Tricia Birmingham, Fred. Fred. Holidays has unveiled a brand new 10-night Pandaw cruise exploring India’s mighty Brahmaputra river. Launching in October 2024, it cruises between Guwahati and the northern city of Dibrugarh. The Full Brahmaputra river cruise will visit Dibru Saikhowa National Park which is home to tigers, leopards, elephants and wild horses. It also explores the world's largest river island of Majuli and Kaziranga National Park. Guests will also visit a tea estate and factory that produces the famous Assam tea. The cruise is on the RV Kalaw Pandaw, an ultra-light ship with one of the shallowest drafts yet with one of the highest passenger space ratios. It accommodates just 36 guests in 18 staterooms. Fred. Holidays has departures on 12 and 23 October 2024; 3 and 14 November 2024; 29 December 2024; 9 and 28 January 2025; and 8 February 2025.
