Nominations Now Open for the 2023 British Travel Awards

Friday, Apr 28, 2023 0

It’s that time of year again – the last-minute rush for the UK’s best travel companies to put themselves forward for a chance to win one of the 2023 British Travel Awards (BTAs). The cut-off date for nominations is 19 May and consumer voting will begin a month later.

We had amazing feedback from everyone who took part in the awards last year and from those who joined us at the gala awards’ presentation night, and we are of course looking to repeat and build on that success again for this year.

All the usual categories are in place for you to enter for 2023, and we have brought back the hotel sector and airlines/airports categories due to popular request from BTA subscribed consumers.  Once again there will be a selection of small, medium and large sectors within certain categories – just ensure you declare your company size when entering according to the criteria set for each of these size defined categories.

Once companies are confirmed as entrants (follow us on Twitter for trade updates on confirmed entrants @BritTravAwrds) – they will receive:

  • The BTA ‘Nominee 2023’ logo (giving your customers advance notice of your nominee status before voting begins in June).
  • The unique direct ‘one-click’ voting software and BTA 2023 ‘click-to-vote’ logo so you can encourage customers to vote, with just one click from your own website and email comms.
  • In addition, all eventual bronze, silver and gold winners will receive the official BTA winner logo specifying the category and winning position – a valuable and impressive marketing tool for your 2024 brochures, adverts, websites, social media and direct comms.

Entering the BTAs is easy and full details can be found under the nomination application tab on the BTA website. As usual, there are no criteria forms and submissions for you to complete – it’s all about the consumer voter numbers and by way of our ‘one-click’ voting software, plus the consumer facing brand-awareness campaign we run each with year with our media partners, you can be off and running your vote campaigns from day one!

Our database of subscribed consumer voters will be contacted directly to encourage them to have their say once voting begins on 19 June – and millions will be reached via the 15-week editorial and advertising campaign we will run in print and on the digital platforms of our media partners at Reach plc.

Once again, along with the travel editors at The Mirror, Star, The Express and the larger regional titles of Reach plc, we will be offering consumers free entry into a voters’ prize draw, to thank them for taking the time to vote across the BTA categories.

Finally, the gala results night will take place on 28th November 2023 when all the winners will be announced. The event promises to be a spectacular occasion with A-list entertainment and a celebrity host – and of course the chance for you to celebrate with your colleagues, peers and the best companies in travel – as voted for by travelling customers. Tables and seats will soon be available to book on the BTA website.

We look forward to welcoming you to this year’s BTA competition, and in the meantime may we wish you all the very best for continuing business growth in the months ahead and of course, happy holidays!
