The specialist cruise line has launched its second printed brochure encompassing solely of rail-inspired sailing journeys. It sees an increase of 55% in the number of packages featured, compared to the inaugural brochure’s debut in Spring 2025.
The 23-page brochure represents an ongoing demand for enhanced and curated trips post-Covid, which was first acknowledged in 2021 with a leaflet-style document highlighting 4 packages comprised of a Mediterranean Star Clippers sailing and a train journey.
Within the brochure, a variety of handpicked sailings across the Mediterranean and Caribbean have been blended with rail-based pre and post-cruise elements that have been curated to suit all tastes and budgets. They range from a 3-night stay in Bari (Puglia) including first-class rail to Rome, 2-nights in Rome and a 3-night taster cruise on board Star Clipper visiting Bastia (Corsica) and Portoferraio (Elba) (Puglia & Rome: A Trulli Unforgettable Journey, 10th September 2027, £3349pp) to an epic 21-night journey comprising 2-nights in Paris, 5-nights aboard the Venice Simplon-Orient-Express including stays in Budapest and Bucharest, 2-nights in Istanbul, 2-nights in Antalya and a 10-night sailing on board Star Flyer sailing from Antalya to Istanbul, visiting ports including Kekova (Turkey) and Symi, Kastellorizo and Patmos (Greece) (Paris Stay & Venice Simplon-Orient-Express to Istanbul with Aegean Sailing, departs 29th May 2027, £27499pp).
Other packages include a journey from Peru to Grenada incorporating the iconic Machu Picchu site (Machu Picchu and Aruba to Grenada Sail, departs 18th January 2027, £10599pp) and the no-fly option of Aix-en-Provence Stay & Ligurian Sea Sail on board Royal Clipper (departs 27th April 2027, £4299pp).
The brochure not only represents the growing trend for rail elements within a cruise holiday, but the dedicated and strong relationship between Star Clippers and Fred.Holidays’ expert rail division.
