Jet2.com and Jet2holidays have responded to strong demand from cyclists wanting to participate in a major sporting event in one of the world’s best cycling destinations, by adding more flights and holidays to Majorca in April 2024.

Perfectly timed for Majorca 312, one of the biggest cycling sportives in the European calendar, the leading leisure airline and UK’s largest tour operator have put over 4,000 extra seats on sale to Majorca from 23rd to 29th April 2024.

The extra flights and holidays have been added from nine UK bases – Birmingham, Bristol, Edinburgh, East Midlands, Glasgow, Leeds Bradford, Manchester, Newcastle International and London Stansted Airports, offering cyclists plenty of choice and flexibility when it comes to experiencing the Majorca 312 event on 27th April 2024 – as well as the Majorcan sunshine.

The move comes in response to strong demand from cyclists wanting to participate in the prestigious cycling event in Majorca, as well as a continued trend from holidaymakers looking to enjoy some early summer sun.

Attracting thousands of cyclists to the island of Majorca each spring, the event offers a choice of three traffic-free routes amid spectacular coastal and mountain scenery. Whether cyclists choose from the epic 312km ride or the shorter routes of 225km or 167km, Majorca 312 is a great way to enjoy this cyclists’ paradise.

The new flights added to Majorca for Summer 24 are as follows:

  • Birmingham Airport – additional Sunday services on 28th April 2024.
  • Bristol Airport – extra Wednesday services on 24th April 2024.
  • East Midlands – new Tuesday and Wednesday services added on 23rd and 24th April 2024.
  • Edinburgh Airport – additional Wednesday services on 24th April 2024.
  • Glasgow Airport – extra Wednesday services on 24th April 2024.
  • Leeds Bradford Airport – additional Monday services on 29th April 2024.
  • Manchester Airport – new Thursday and Sunday services added on 25th and 28th April 2024.
  • Newcastle International Airport – extra Thursday and Sunday services added on 25th and 28th April 2024.
  • London Stansted Airport – additional Monday and Friday services on 26th and 29th April 2024.

Majorca is widely known as one of the world’s best cycling destinations thanks to its warm climate, clear roads and steep but remarkable routes. Combined with vibrant coastal resorts and a distinctly cosmopolitan capital, holidaymakers can enjoy the mix of exciting cycling routes and the laid-back holiday atmosphere.

Customers looking to participate in Majorca 312 and enjoy a cycling holiday next summer can choose from a flight-only option with Jet2.com or a package holiday with Jet2holidays (https://www.jet2holidays.com/cycling-holidays). Flights with Jet2.com include the award-winning airline’s VIP customer service, friendly flight times and a generous 22kg baggage allowance.

When booking a cycling holiday with Jet2holidays, customers also get that very same VIP customer service, hand-picked hotels with cycling facilities, the option to add on great-value, pre-booked 32kg bike carriage to a booking, alongside bike transfers to and from the hotel. There is even free bike carriage for groups, which means one in every four bikes go free for groups of over ten people or more.

Steve Heapy, CEO of Jet2.com and Jet2holidays, said: “We are seeing strong demand from cycling enthusiasts wanting to participate in the Majorca 312 event and enjoy a cycling holiday, as well as from those looking for some early summer sun. For this reason, we have added extra capacity to the popular destination in April and given our customers exactly what they want. Given our cycling proposition and popularity of the Majorca 312 event, we are confident that these additional flights and holidays will prove popular for both cyclists and those seeking some early summer sun.”
