$1 million times 70
Best Western International says it has created an industry record for online bookings: single day reservations via the company’s Web site hit $1 million 70 times this year.
The chain attributes the feat to recent cost-saving tips and the addition of different languages for online bookings.
Through March, the company grew 52% in worldwide revenue via the bestwestern.com site in comparison to the same period a year ago.
Internet bookings now comprise close to 50% of all Best Western reservations. Said David Kong, president and ceo:
“The company’s global Web bookings have grown an average of 54% per year during the past five years.”
