29 injured in 767 emergency landing
An investigation has been launched after a Saudi Arabian Airlines Boeing 767 made an emergency landing in the city of Medina.
According to reports, 29 people were injured and three of them seriously. 11 passengers were taken to hospital.
The 767-300ER aircraft had reportedly been leased out to take pilgrims from the Iranian city of Mashhad to the holy city.
There were 299 passengers and 16 crew on board.
Images on the internet show the aircraft with a damaged right wing.
Officials said the rear right-side landing gear had failed to deploy.
The airport was closed for 24 hours as a result of the accident.
