A $150,000 wedding in the West Indies
Destination weddings accounted for 16% of all nuptials in 2005, up 40% over the past year, and now a resort in the West Indies is raising the bar for such occasions.
Jumby Bay, a Rosewood Resort in Antigua, is offering destination wedding-goers something more than white-sand beaches and palm-shaded islands.
Wedding-goers can buy the entire 40 guest rooms and suites, and 11 villas. There’s also a collection of vast private residences that come with personal chefs and an extended staff. Nearly all guest rooms have private outdoor garden bathrooms.
Jumby Bay is an inclusive luxury retreat set on a 300-acre private island that is accessible only by boat.
The resort is known for world-class service and distinguished amenities that include deep soaking tubs and rain showers. A three-night Betrothal Buyout Package is available from May to early December. The price: $150,000 plus taxes and service fees.
