A doze-y idea from Travelodge
Budget hotel group Travelodge is to host the country’s first sleep concert with the sole aim of sending its audience into a doze.
Musicians will gather at the London City Road Travelodge at lunchtime on July 20 to hear works by Mozart, Bach, Michael Buble and Snow Patrol and will be given duvets, eye masks and pillows.
Travelodge says the move follows its annual Sleep and Professions study.
The survey listed the top ten professions who suffered the most sleep deprivation and showed that 75% of Britain’s workforce is not getting the recommended eight hours of shut-eye.
Civil servants, bankers, factory workers, doctors and teachers are the worst affected.
