Based in a leading Melbourne hotel, our client is seeking a highly motivated & driven Director of Sales & Marketing that truly thinks of everything but the ordinary. You will have a management approach that inspires your team to deliver and succeed, together with a strategic and financial mindset that is pragmatic and focused.

With a very strong focus initially on dramatically increasing corporate market share, we require a candidate that is at the top of their field and can lead a sales team to deliver results.

Key responsibilities will include:

** Producing the annual sales & marketing budget with a strategic implementation plan.

** Setting rate and yielding strategies.

** Leading and manage productivity of sales team.

** Responsibility for all hotel’s promotional material & produce all reports and statistical   information as needed.

** Responsibility for achieving maximum sales for the hotel, by implementing and directing the sales activities of the hotel, in accordance with the hotel business plan.

** To be an active and integral member of the Executive Committee contributing to the hotels overall success.

Key Requirements:

** Demonstrated track record as DOSM, within hotel industry

** Strong understanding and experience in commercial negotiation

** Proven results in financial marketing skills

** Aggressive in obtaining new clients with a focus on rate growth

** A complete understanding of all market segments & excellent communication and presentation skills.
