Abject Apologies on behalf of VisitBritain
As we won’t be getting an apology from the financial black hole and serially useless organisation known as VisitBritain, this is the apology we will NOT be getting: VisitBritain should say: “During the after Olympics party watched by millions around the world on TV, VisitBritian recognising its remit to encourage world travellers, VisitBritian [VB], we VB, as Prime Minister Gordon Brown was speaking and confirming that the UK Olympics would only have a fraction of the money spent on the Beijing Olympics decided that it would be a good idea that the face of Team GB should be….the serial murderer MYRA HINDLEY who along with Ian Brady brutally murdered five children in the 1960’s before burying their bodies on Saddleworth Moor near Oldham, England. We VisitBritian having been using this same video for four years now, are truly sorry that only now a fuss is being made, the persons concerned have immediately resigned along with our Chief Executive as no one bothered to question or check it or even update it for the 2012 Olympics promotion – part of our remit!” BUT sadly, that is not what VisitBritian will do. Apologies world the UK can do much better than this and sincere apologies to all the relatives and friends of the murdered children…what an almighty blunder…deeply shaming…this must not happen again..
