ABTA announces theme of Westminster conference
ABTA has announced its annual Travel Matters conference will take place in Westminster on June 22.
The theme of the half-day event will be ‘Confidence in a changing world’ and included in the topics for discussion will be the EU referendum, ATOL reform, the Government’s approach to airport capacity, its response to security, and taxation.
ABTA’s chief executive Mark Tanzer will open the event and will outline the key themes to be discussed.
The full programme of speakers will be announced in the coming weeks.
Tanzer said: "Against a backdrop of global geopolitical change and security challenges, an EU referendum, and significant regulatory reform at home, the year ahead will hold both challenges and opportunities for travel businesses.
"Travel Matters is a great opportunity to bring these topics to the heart of the industry and I look forward to discussing these issues with delegates from across travel, Westminster, the media and beyond."
Travel Matters is an invitation-only event for senior representatives from ABTA’s membership, industry stakeholders, travel and transport media as well as Government departments and bodies.
