ABTA course helps agents empathise with travellers with disabilities
ABTA is to introduce a course for agents to enable them to feel at ease selling travel products to people with disabilities.
Accessible Travel Made Easy offers a guide that takes agents through the customer experience and shows them how to spot the needs of customers who need help with their mobility or disability.
ABTA chief executive Mark Tanzer said: “We are thrilled to have been given the opportunity to work with the Commission on training which will really help the industry to understand a wide range of disabilities and how simple changes to behaviours and procedures can give all our customers access to a positive travelling experience from point of sale to their return.”
