ABTA holds workshops on ‘Call for Evidence’
ABTA is holding a series of workshops in the next few months to help members to get to grips with the new ATOL scheme.
It hopes the workshops will specifically explain the Department for Transport’s ‘Call for Evidence’ on its review of the implementation and funding arrangements for financial protection.
Speakers from ABTA and the Department for Transport will be on hand to discuss the Call for Evidence and field questions from the floor.
A webinar will also be run for those unable to attend a regional event in person.
The full DFT Call for Evidence document can be accessed on www.abta.com and the closing date for the responses is 15 August.
ABTA head of financial protection John de Vial said: "The DfT’s Call for Evidence on the future implementation and funding of the ATOL scheme is an extremely important issue for all our ABTA Members, particularly those who hold an ATOL.
"The review of the future of the ATOL scheme has the potential to have a significant impact on businesses and I would strongly urge members to come along to their local regional meeting or log on to our webinar. We want members to be fully informed and it is also essential that we have their views to help us prepare ABTA’s response to the Call for Evidence."
Workshop and webinar dates and venues are as follows:
21 June 10:00 – 13:00 – Bristol Workshop – Bristol Airport
28 June 9:00 -12:00 – Manchester Workshop – Manchester Airport
