Accor launches super sale in Asia Pacific
SYDNEY – Accor has launched what it claims is the largest-ever hotel sale staged in Australia and the Asia Pacific region.
One million rooms across Accor Asia Pacific’s network will be on sale, with some 200,000 room nights in Australia available for just A$79 per night for hotel stays between 1 April – 31 July 2009.
This represents a discount of more than 75 percent off the full rate for some hotels featured in the sale.
Five-star hotel rooms in Asia are available for as low as USD37 in Malaysia, USD38 in Thailand and USD45 in China (plus applicable local taxes & service charges).
Rooms can be booked over three days 24, 25 & 26 February, 2009 – via the www.accorhotels.com/supersale website.
A total of over 250 hotels are available in the sale.
In Australia, there are hotels available in every Australian capital city, as well as key regional, suburban and resort areas.
Hotels under the Pullman, MGallery, Grand Mercure, Novotel, Mercure, all seasons and Ibis brands are included in the sale.
Accor VP Australia, Simon McGrath, said the super sale would provide a significant stimulus to Australia’s domestic tourism market.
“In the recent Government economic stimulus package, it was identified that using the cash benefits to take local holidays was one of the most effective and immediate ways of stimulating the economy and helping preserve or create jobs
“With an unprecedented range of cheap airfares, and now cheap hotel rooms, short-break and longer holidays have never been more affordable.
“It will be a welcome shot in the arm for local tourism and all the businesses that rely on the industry for income and jobs,†McGrath added.
