AccorHotels has sealed an agreement to manage a new Thai beach resort north of Phuket.

The French hospitality giant has partnered with developer Khaolak Inter to bring the Pullman brand to Khao Lak, which is less than 80 kilometres north of tourist hotspot Phuket.

The new 251-room Pullman Khao Lak Resort is slated to open in 2021.

The resort will feature family suites and private villas, an expansive kids club, and an adult-only infinity pool overlooking the Andaman Sea.

"This partnership marks an important step for AccorHotels and we are very excited to partner with Khaolak Inter Co., Ltd. to expand our portfolio in Southern Thailand with the Pullman brand," said Patrick Basset, chief operating officer, AccorHotels Upper Southeast & Northeast Asia and the Maldives.

It marks the second collaboration with Khaolak Inter following the Novotel Phuket Patong.

The resort will also house multiple F&B outlets, a spa, health and fitness centre and beach club.

"We look forward to another exciting partnership with AccorHotels with the launch of Pullman Khao Lak. The combined expertise with AccorHotels will give us an opportunity to contribute to the growth and development of the local community in the area." said Michael Choo, Director of Khaolak Inter Co., Ltd.
