ACTA congratulates Air Canada on the increase to 7% commission
Air Canada has announced that it has decided to increase their recently enhanced compensation paid to travel agents. Effective immediately Air Canada is offering a revised " 7% Cash Rewards" platform to all agents.
David McCaig, President and C.O.O. of the Association of Canadian Travel Agencies (ACTA), says, “We are extremely pleased that Air Canada has once again shown their confidence in the travel agent distribution model. The increase to a 7% cash rewards from the newly announced 4% is exciting news for agencies who are looking to increase their revenues in these economic times” McCaig continued, “Air Canada’s new management team has once again come through giving our members the potential to increase revenues”
Travel agents (IATA or TIDS accredited agencies) will now earn a 7% Cash reward on all domestic (Air Canada and Jazz) Tango tickets. Tickets eligible for the incentive must be sold through the airline’s agency portal at http://www.aircanada.com/agents or an Air Canada certified ac2u™ connection, currently supported by many industry leading agency desktop and corporate self-booking tools.
