Adam White appointed MD for Bath Travel business travel division
Adam White will join Bath Travel in the new position of managing director of its Business Travel Management division on October 1.
The former Business Travel Management MD left BTM after 10 years service at the end of 2005, in what sources described as ‘acrimonious circumstances’.
At that time, he was deputy chairman of the GTMC and was due to take over as chairman.
But under Guild rules, all executives must be in active employment with a GTMC member.
White had also chaired the Guild’s technology working party for three years.
In his new role at Bath Travel, he will represent the agency at the Guild and is keen to resume an active role.
“Adam White has been working with Bath Travel for the last few months on a consultancy basis and we are delighted to now officially bring him on board as managing director of business travel management,” said Andrew Bath, joint managing director Bath Travel Group.
“He brings a great deal of commercial experience to our business travel division in terms of purchasing and his knowledge of GDS technology”
White said he would be looking to develop Bath Travel’s SME business and expand its groups department within the MICE arena.
“I will also be responsible for reviewing GDS and other pertinent contracts,” he said.
Bath Travel Business Travel Management was formed in 1993 and now operates from three UK locations with a turnover over £16 million.
It claims to be number 45 in the top 100 travel management companies in the UK.
