Adelaide’s Playford MGallery undergoing major refurb

Adelaide boutique hotel Playford MGallery by Sofitel is having a multi-million-dollar makeover, with a phased re-opening throughout 2022. 

It will retain its signature art collection while all guest rooms, function areas, reception, bar and restaurant will undergo a total transformation.

The art nouveau design will be receive a modern twist.

The ballroom and the hotel’s functions and meeting spaces will re-open for business from September.

The hotel is currently open with restaurant and bar facilities available to hotel guests only during the first half of 2022.

The official launch of a new food and beverage offering for both hotel guests and the public is slated for August.

The property’s 182 guestrooms, studio spa suites and loft suites upgrades will be completed by October.

“2022 will be one of great activity and excitement and we look forward to welcoming visitors for both business and leisure events and overnight accommodation,” said Melanie Leyn, Director Sales and Marketing.
