Adelman Travel of Milwaukee yesterday launched a new meetings management company, AdelmanSummit Meetings and Incentives, in partnership with Summit Performance Group of San Diego.

The new company will offer corporate and association meeting and event management, incentive travel, and sports hospitality services to businesses and organizations.

Under terms of the co-marketing and co-branding agreement, AdelmanSummit will offer:

  • Strategic planning
  • Onsite meetings management and production
  • Registration and staffing
  • Facilities and equipment sourcing and rental
  • Logistics
  • Event staffing and activities management
  • Airfare booking
  • Lodging management
  • Ground transportation
  • Tourism management and services
  • Travel management and contract negotiation services

AdelmanSummit already has more than 30 corporate customers from the existing client base of its two partners.

Summit Performance Group’s clients include PepsiCo, Pfizer Pharmaceuticals, Arrow S3, and Life Technologies Corporation.

It has produced and managed 2,000 events in North America, Europe, and the Far East.

Summit Performance Group partner Doug Wheeler said the use of meeting planning companies has been growing among corporate and organizational customers, even for smaller meetings of 20 to 30 people.

"Coordinating a meeting with participants coming in from all over the nation-or the globe-requires expertise and skill sets that many companies and organizations might not have," he said.

While incentive travel programs had declined during the economic recession, they are coming back, and so are sports hospitality programs and events.

"Trips and travel have always been attractive as an employee reward, and sports teams and leagues are using travel and hospitality programs as a way to connect to larger audiences," Wheeler said. "In every case, customers want a fun and seamless experience."
