Advantage business agents opt for Sabre
Business travel agents within the Advantage Travel Centres consortium have selected Sabre as their recommended GDS supplier.
Although it is not mandating use of the GDS, Advantage expects that most of its 85 Business Travel Focus Group members will switch to the system.
The unanimous decision was made by the Advantage Business Travel Focus Group evaluation board, following a six month review.
Director of business travel Norman Gage said: “The company’s multi-channel growth strategy makes it a strong negotiating partner for the challenging years ahead.
“Sabre Travel Network’s visible commitment to providing a range of powerful sales and marketing tools and technological solutions that match agencies’ needs, and its ongoing efforts to add content through strong negotiations with travel providers, were also key factors for our decision.”
Advantage Business Travel Focus Group member agencies make 2.2 million GDS bookings a year.
