Adventurous luxury in New Mexico

Sunday, 03 May, 2005 0

A Taos, New Mexico spa says it is offering an unusual combination of luxury and rustic living.

The El Monte Sagrado Living Resort & Spa has a “home on the range” atmosphere in its Main House, but it also offers gourmet meals, one-to-one yoga classes, and various spa treatments.

The site is also home to the third largest and only certified organic yak farm in the US.

Helicopter trips are offered. Fly fishing and horseback riding are other options.

Prices at the resort at the foot of the Sangre de Cristo Mountains in New Mexico start at $2,000 for a three-might minimum stay.
