Aer Lingus kicks off partnership with Riverdance

Aer Lingus is celebrating a new partnership with Riverdance.

As the Official Airline Partner of Riverdance’s 30th Anniversary Tour, Aer Lingus will support Riverdance on their world tour, including its four-month UK leg.

As part of the 30-year anniversary tour, Riverdance – The New Generation, will spend four months performing in 30 locations across the UK.

They include key Aer Lingus gateway cities such as Manchester, Newcastle, Birmingham and Cardiff.

The UK tour takes to the stage in Swansea on 12 August before wrapping up at London’s Hammersmith Apollo on 14 December.

Originally a seven-minute Eurovision interval act back in 1994, Riverdance debuted in 1995 as a full-length musical and theatrical performance composed by Bill Whelan, produced by Moya Doherty, and directed by John McColgan.

Susanne Carberry, Aer Lingus Chief Customer Officer, said: “Riverdance has been connecting people around the world to Ireland’s heritage and culture for 30 years. As the Official Airline Partner of Riverdance’s 30th Anniversary Tour, Aer Lingus is proud to foster those connections.”

Aer Lingus flies three direct transatlantic routes from Manchester to New York JFK, Orlando and Barbados.

As well as direct flights from Manchester, customers flying from the UK can connect through Dublin Airport to Aer Lingus destinations such as Boston, Chicago, Los Angeles, Las Vegas, and Cleveland, OH.

Additionally, customers flying to the US via Dublin can get US preclearance in Dublin Airport, so avoiding queues when they land.

In 2025, Aer Lingus flies to two new destinations, Indianapolis and Nashville, using its new Airbus A321 XLR aircraft.

This brings the number of transatlantic routes operated by the airline from Manchester, Dublin and Shannon to 24.
