Aer Lingus outage resolved but passengers stranded overseas
Aer Lingus says its weekend disruption is mostly fixed, however there are hundreds of passengers complaining they remain stranded overseas
There was a day of chaos after the airline’s IT systems went down, causing widespread cancellations.
The ‘vast majority’ of flights are running again but many posted on social media they are still stuck overseas and unable to contact the airline.
Aer Lingus said UK and European flights were departing on time on Sunday but passengers should be aware of ‘some possible delays’ on transatlantic flights.
