AFTA, Sabre Pacific onboard with AIME
AIME (Asia-Pacific Incentives & Meetings Expo) has signed strategic partnerships with the Australian Federation of Travel Agents (AFTA), and global travel technology company Sabre Pacific.
Exhibition director of AIME and CITBM (China Incentive, Business Travel and Meetings Exhibition), Jacqui Timmins, said partnering with both AFTA and Sabre Pacific was crucial to the growth of AIME, currently the largest international business exhibition in Australia, and this year celebrating its 22nd edition
"These strategic partnerships with AFTA and Sabre Pacific demonstrate to our audience and peers the importance of business travel to the business events arena," Timmins said.
"It’s key for us to ensure we’re meeting the needs of the business travel industry and gaining a clearer understanding of its requirements.”
AFTA will take the opportunity at AIME to officially announce the launch of ATAS (AFTA Travel Accreditation Scheme), effective in April this year.
A feature at AIME’s Innovation Zone will be Sabre Pacific’s TripCase tool for the popular trip management app.
TripCase helps travellers organise their trip details, keeps them informed with in-transit messages and critical flight alerts, and offers helpful tools such as maps, weather forecasts, trip sharing, alternate flight schedules and seat maps.
AIME (February 18-19, Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre) will this year launch a new business travel stand award to be sponsored by AFTA.
