Agents gain access to RCI accommodation
Agents will be able to book resorts affiliated to timeshare giant RCI through a deal with accommodation-only firm apartmentsabroad.com.
The apartmentsabroad.com trade website is to carry RCI content in more than 100 countries worldwide.
The addition of RCI’s inventory to apartmentabroad.com’s portfolio means the operator will be able to offer almost 20,000 properties to agents.
The RCI portfolio complements the company’s self-catering content in short haul beach destinations such as the Canaries, Balearics and Costas.
The RCI accommodation will also feature with apartmentsabroad.com’s Travelhawk dynamic packaging tool.
Apartmentsabroad.com is offering commissionable rates on RCI standard resorts from £175 per property, per week for a studio apartment in low season and £338 in peak months.
Apartmentsabroad.com managing director Ian Thirlwall said: “This agreement gives us a much wider spread of top end self-catering product outside the Mediterranean. Everyone in the trade knows that the high quality of RCI’s resorts is indisputable so from our point of view, and those of the agents that work with us, this product is pure gold.”
RCI Holiday Network strategic alliance sales manager Nicki Rogers said: “We have a valuable product to sell and want to work with a major player who has effective trade distribution and a strong brand name. The fact that apartmentsabroad.com provides bonding was also a strong motivator for us.”
