Agents get the lowdown on Brooklyn
NYC & Company, New York City’s official marketing, tourism and partnership organisation, has launched a new Brooklyn tool kit designed for the international and domestic travel trade to promote and sell the city’s most populous borough.
The new Brooklyn, Downtown and Nearby Neighbourhoods tool kit will provide relevant information and showcase the area’s hotels, attractions, cultural organisations and transportation offerings.
The new resource is part of an overall effort by NYC & Company to encourage more visitation to the city’s diverse neighborhoods.
Travel trade partners can access detailed information, including a Brooklyn video, at nycgo.com/traveltrade.
"As new hotels and attractions debut in Brooklyn, NYC & Company is encouraging more visits and stays," said NYC & Company CEO George Fertitta.
The neighborhood tool kit will be integrated into the NYC Travel Training Academy, NYC & Company’s travel agent training programme (nycgo.com/training).
The new travel trade tool kit follows a similar launch of a Long Island City, Queens tool kit. A Lower Manhattan neighbourhood tool kit is planned for launch later this year.
