Agents invited to river cruise summit
Cruise Lines International Association (CLIA) Australasia is inviting agents to this year’s Europe River Cruise Extravaganza.
Hosted by the CLIA UK office, the annual event will be held on November 17-18 in Cologne in Germany.
Attendance at the two-day event includes one night onboard a river cruise vessel, conference sessions, a trade show and the opportunity to inspect multiple river cruise ships.
River cruise line members from both CLIA Australasia and CLIA UK will be participating.
"European river cruising has grown strongly in recent years so this is a great opportunity for agents to learn more about the market, experience a number of different vessels first hand and network with operators and agents from the UK," said CLIA Australasia general manger Brett Jardine.
He said the opportunity underlined the collaboration now occurring between cruise bodies around the world, after being brought under the CLIA umbrella last December.
"The cruise industry is expanding rapidly worldwide so agents should be making the most of any opportunity to boost their understanding of the market and build their cruise business."
