Agents to capture surge in UK Easter breaks – Superbreak
More than 65,000 people will book short breaks through agents for the two week Easter period, short break operator Superbreak predicts
In addition, Easter falls later this year giving spring a chance to set in properly.
The operator expects more than 20,000 holidaymakers to take breaks over the Easter weekend itself and predicts that over half of these will book within three weeks of travel.
Superbreak is encouraging agents to push short breaks to destinations within two and a half hours drive from home.
National sales manager Graham Blamforth said: “Easter is one of the most popular times for people to take a short break.
“Many people have extended time off work and this year with the weak euro and short lead times, I think the UK will be a popular choice.
“Our kids go free offers provide great value and excellent savings for families which is so important in the current climate. I urge agents to focus strongly on destinations that are two and half hours drive away from them to give relevance to the offers they promote – this is often key to UK short break sales.”
Superbreak’s children go free policy means up to two children under 16 can stay for free of charge when sharing a room with two adults, plus get free rail travel if booking a rail inclusive package.
