Agoda signs partnerships with LINE travel, JTB
Asia based OTA Agoda has sealed two new strategic agreements to expand its footprint in Taiwan and Japan respectively.
It announced a partnership with social media app LINE to be the exclusive accommodation supplier for LINE Travel.
Starting November 28, LINE users can access the Agoda inventory via the social media app to book hotels and vacation rentals, earning LINE Points on qualifying bookings.
"We’re thrilled that through this partnership, LINE’s 19 plus million customers can access Agoda’s extensive range for properties," said Agoda MD for Greater China, Spencer Low.
Agoda also sealed a partnership with Japan’s JTB group to expand Japanese accommodation options on both Agoda.com and JTB’s sites Rurubu, which focuses on travel bookings in Japan, and JAPANiCAN, which offer online bookings for Ryokan traditional inns, bus tours and other attractions.
Both Rurubu and JAPANiCAN are in the process of being upgraded.
"We will be able to offer Agoda customers previously inaccessible choices of accommodation throughout Japan by accessing JTB’s extensive inventory," said John Brown, CEO of Agoda.
